Connect Google Account with Cortana

Connecting your Google account with Cortana is straight-forward. Launch Cortana on your Windows 10 system and select Notebook > Connected Services > Add a Service and you will see a new option for Gmail.

Then just follow the onscreen instruction and sign in with your Google account information. Note that if you have two-factor authentication enabled you will need your phone nearby.

After you have connected your Google account, you can access it on Windows 10 and other Cortana-powered devices like the Harman Kardon Invoke smart speaker. Similarly, you can use the service on Android or iOS devices via the Cortana app. At the time of this writing, only one Google account can be connected at any given time. If you have a personal and work account, you will need to choose which one you want to be connected. If you want to unlink your Google account from Cortana for any reason, head back to Notebook select Gmail and then the disconnect button. Currently, not everything works as fluidly as it does with Microsoft mail and calendar and it isn’t known how integrated the two will be. For example, if you connect your Outlook account, Cortana can send you suggested reminders based on your messages. There isn’t a known list of official voice commands yet, but the level of functionality will undoubtedly improve over time. After spending more time with this new pairing we will post updates.
