The new Instagram story camera is a feature that was introduced in December 2017. It can be found on the right side of the screen, below the “Stories” tab. This camera has a vertical layout and is designed to take photos or videos that will be posted to your Instagram story.
Tap the story camera icon to take a photo or video and share it on your story. You can also swipe right from the feed to access the story camera.
