During limited time events, Supercell allows players to buy packages of gems that include gifts. These will appear under the Treasure section of the in game shop, to the right of the usual purchase options. Each gift will be available for a limited number of clan members to claim – usually 20, but this may change in future events.

At first glance this is a simple process, but a lot of players are having trouble sending their clan gifts in Clash of Clans. In this short guide, we’ll go over what steps you need to take and what caveats you’ll need to be aware of when trying to send gifts.

Sending Gifts to Your Clan in Clash of Clans

The actual sending of your clan gift happens automatically whenever you buy them from the Treasure store. As soon as you buy the gift, it gets posted in clan chat immediately after your purchase.

The biggest potential problem players will face when buying a gift is that it has to be claimed before it scrolls out of the clan chat. In larger clans, this can lead to gifts being wasted. Once a gift is out of chat, it cannot be reused and no refund is given. So if you plan to send a gift, you should should send a message in chat prior to buying that gift so that your friends can hop in and claim it.

The other caveat to this process is that the clan gifts can only be purchased during certain events. These are usually not advertised in advance and sometimes have no clear end date. Purchasing the gifts at the first opportunity is recommended if you are sure you want to share the gems with your clan.

As of right now, there is no other way to send gifts to another player in Clash of Clans.
